Speare Academy – Delegate Terms & Conditions
1. Booking, Payment & Acceptance of Terms
1.1 All course bookings are made online via the Speare Academy website.
1.3 By making payment for a course, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1.4 A booking confirmation email will be issued once payment has been successfully processed.
1.5 Places are strictly limited and secured on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Cancellations by Delegate
2.1 All cancellations must be made in writing by email.
2.2 The following refund policy applies:
• More than 14 days before the course date – Full refund (less any booking/processing fee if applicable).
• 7–14 days before the course date – 50% refund.
• Less than 7 days before the course date – No refund.
2.3 If you are unable to attend, you may nominate a substitute delegate at no additional charge, provided written notice is given at least 48 hours before the course.
3. Illness & Non-Attendance
3.1 If a delegate is unable to attend due to illness, Speare Academy must be notified in writing as soon as reasonably possible.
3.2 Where illness occurs within 7 days of the course date, no refund will be provided. However, at Speare Academy’s discretion, a transfer to a future course date may be offered.
3.3 Failure to attend a course without prior written notice will be treated as non-attendance and no refund or transfer will be offered.
4. Transfers
4.1 At Speare Academy’s discretion, a delegate may transfer to a future course date if requested more than 7 days before the course.
4.2 Transfers requested within 7 days of the course date may incur an administration fee or may not be permitted.
5. Cancellation or Changes by Speare Academy
5.1 Speare Academy reserves the right to amend course dates, trainers, content or venue where necessary.
5.2 If a course is cancelled by Speare Academy, delegates will be offered either:
• A full refund; or
• A transfer to an alternative date.
5.3 Speare Academy shall not be liable for travel, accommodation or other consequential costs.
6. Delegate Conduct
6.1 We aim to create a supportive and respectful learning environment.
6.2 Speare Academy reserves the right to remove any delegate whose behaviour is disruptive or inappropriate, without refund.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 All course materials remain the intellectual property of Speare Academy.
7.2 Materials may not be reproduced, distributed or shared without prior written consent.
8. Liability
8.1 Speare Academy accepts no liability for business decisions made as a result of attending a course.
8.2 Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the course.
9. Data Protection
9.1 Delegate data will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
